Perth Water Foreshore
The foreshore provides spectacular views and with the entire area closed to vehicle access it is a great spot for family picnics or to enjoy the many activities available.
Kings Park
Kings Park and Botanic Garden offers excellent viewing from the approved lawn areas behind the safety tape. Entry is by gold coin donation to the Friends of Kings Park, with all donations directed to the conservation of Western Australian flora, improving visitor facilities and maintaining some of our State's significant cultural and memorial sites.
Dogs are not allowed and a total fire ban is in place, so barbecues or sparklers are not permitted.
The Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority promotes a smoke-free, alcohol-free (byo zone excepted) and glass-free venue.

Lord Mayor's Message
2011 was a defining year for Western Australians and this Australia Day is a time for us all to look back over the last twelve months and celebrate our collective achievements.
I believe, as a City and as a State, we shone on the global stage as a community that has great respect for each other and our surroundings.
Last year's Skyworks was the most successful event it its 27 year history, with hundreds of thousands of people gathering in harmony to watch the renowned pyrotechnics display.
