Air BP Air Show
The Air BP Air Show returns for 2012 and will once again pay tribute to some of Australia’s greatest heroes, with demonstrations from organisations including the RAAF, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority’s search and rescue team and Fire & Emergency Services Authority’s fire-fighting helicopter crew.
The Australia Day Air BP Air Show begins at 3.30pm, with a wide variety of aircraft participating in over 25 individual displays, culminating in the ‘Aussie Salute’– a giant 20,000 square foot silk Australian Flag towed behind a helicopter.

Lord Mayor's Message
2011 was a defining year for Western Australians and this Australia Day is a time for us all to look back over the last twelve months and celebrate our collective achievements.
I believe, as a City and as a State, we shone on the global stage as a community that has great respect for each other and our surroundings.
Last year's Skyworks was the most successful event it its 27 year history, with hundreds of thousands of people gathering in harmony to watch the renowned pyrotechnics display.
