City of Perth Skyworks Photo Competition
Every Australia Day thousands of people line the banks of our Swan River with cameras in tow to capture the 30 minute Skyworks fireworks display that lights up our skyline.
Once again, the City of Perth is inviting all budding photographers to submit their favourite Australia Day photos in the City of Perth Skyworks Photo Competition.
Some great prizes are up for grabs and winning images will be featured in this publication for the 2013 City of Perth Australia Day Skyworks.
Congratulations to our winner in 2011 Anthony Navasa for his iconic shot of the display (see right).
Images must be taken on Australia Day at City of Perth Skyworks however the subject of the photo is optional.
Perhaps it is the high energy Air BP Air Show that captures your eye, or the energy of the bands around the river or a snapshot of the people that make the Skyworks the great event it is, all are welcome.
And then of course, it is the Skyworks themselves at 8pm Skyworks that offer some fantastic views of our great city at the biggest Australia day event in the country.
Photographers must have permission of any talent used (with the exception of if they are performing or competing as part of the Skyworks activities) and images must be submitted as jpegs (with the file size being between 1mb and 5mb.)
Competition opens on Australia Day and closes on Monday 13 February. The competition will be drawn on Mon 20th Feb. The winner will be announced thereafter.
Photos must be no larger than 5mb and emailed to: skyworks@cityofperth.wa.gov.au
