A Message from our presenting partners Channel 7
Every year since 1959, Channel Seven has played a very active role in the Western Australian community. We firmly believe that we should give back to the people of this state and over the past five decades Seven has played a key role in thousands of events and charities.
Demonstrating our long-standing support of the community, last month our annual Christmas pageant celebrated its 40th anniversary and later this year Telethon will celebrate its 45th anniversary. Seven has been a major supporter of the Australia Day Skyworks celebrations almost since its inception and we are delighted to support the event again in 2011.
All of these major events and others that Seven supports, form part of the fabric of Perth's unique culture. We're very proud to be involved in them for everyone to enjoy.
We congratulate the City of Perth, MIX 94.5, Lotterywest and everyone in WA for making Skyworks the biggest Australia Day celebration in the nation.

Lord Mayor's Message
2011 was a defining year for Western Australians and this Australia Day is a time for us all to look back over the last twelve months and celebrate our collective achievements.
I believe, as a City and as a State, we shone on the global stage as a community that has great respect for each other and our surroundings.
Last year's Skyworks was the most successful event it its 27 year history, with hundreds of thousands of people gathering in harmony to watch the renowned pyrotechnics display.
